How to reach Bir Terraces?

There are a couple of ways to get to the cottage depending on the mode of transport.   Flight : We are accessible by two airports, Pantnagar (PGH)/Bareilly (BEK) Airport. From there, it'll be a comfortable and scenic 3.5 & 5-hour drive respectively.   Train: You can book  a 6:20 am KGM Express (From Delhi) that drops you off at Kathgodam Station.  From there, it'll be a convenient ride of 2.5 hours.   Car : It's a beautiful drive of 8-8.5 hours till the property from Delhi. Question 2

What kind of meals can be had during our stay? Is the chef available on-site for all meals?

Accepted Answer

We've got an experienced team that cater to your food and beverage  preferences  at the property.  We offer an extensive à la carte menu that focuses on serving from our farm to your plate, with the likes of Indian, Continental, Chinese, Italian, and Kumaoni (Pahadi).   It is to be noted that Non-Vegetarian food is not cooked / served at Bir Terraces with the exception of Eggs.  To honour our principles of vegetarianism, we will not entertain Non Vegetarian food brought from outside either. Kindly respect our No Non-Veg policy and we will leave no stone unturned to feed you exquisite vegetarian meals.

Is the homestay pet-friendly?

Yes, the homestay is pet-friendly. We welcome pets and provide facilities to make sure that they are comfortable during their stay. Additionally, we have 5 Furry Dogs and an Adorable Cat on the property that we treat like family.

What kind of activities/places can one cover during their stay?

Accepted Answer

Guests may choose to explore the outdoors with 5+ nature trails and hikes around the cottage ranging from hill tops to private spring water streams.   Perhaps a nearby waterfall might catch your fancy or maybe explore  our village trail to experience local living.  For the spiritually inclined, the place is blessed with temples and spiritual destinations like Kainchi Dham of Baba Neem Karoli, Vivekananda Ashram, Kasar Devi Temple, Mukteshwar, Jageshwar, and the famous Sun Temple at Katarmal, in the near vicinity.   Besides the charming hill stations of Nainital, Almora, and Mukteshwar are just a short drive away. You can refer our Experiences Tab for more details.
